I am a time served refrigeration & air-conditioning engineer with 30 years’ experience covering a large range of expertise from industrial refrigeration to water cooled applications. In the last 10 years and prior to joining Wave, I have been covering the roll as a Refrigeration Service Manager responsible for organising repairs and maintenance contracts for Yorkshire based clients. I thoroughly enjoy working within the refrigeration industry and excel when working in a team.

Away from the business, I love spending time with my family and of course a round of golf with friends.

Rexy is the youngest member of Wave’s team. In between sleeping, eating and playing, Rexy loves to socialise with her colleagues and visitors! She loves meeting new people and is looking forward to meeting our friends from across the industry. Away from the office, Rexy has chosen our Ellie Clare as her preferred human and is becoming accustomed to spending her evenings relaxing in front of the TV!

I joined Wave in September 2019 as a trainee Project and Technical Consultant following the completion of my A levels. I took a Sports BTEC, Physics and Business, achieving a distinction and 2 C’s. I have enjoyed the short time I’ve been at Wave and look forward to learning and progressing within the business. During 2020 I am aiming to gain a C&G F-Gas Handling qualification and am looking forward to managing my own engineering projects.

Away from the business, I like to keep fit by playing football and I also enjoy attending live music events & concerts!

Design Engineer

I have been working as a Refrigeration Design Engineer at WAVE Refrigeration since December 2017.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Kerala. During my studies I completed an academic project on ‘Investigation on Micro Heat pipe and its implementation in Desktop Computers’. During the last 12-months I have gained significant experience in Revit software and gain immense satisfaction of providing high quality 3D modelling design drawings for our clients.

Away from the business, I like to spend my leisure time reading novels, listening to music and watching movies.

Operations & Business Improvement Manager

I joined Wave in 2018 and during the two years I have been with the business I am now responsible for our office management, whilst also managing small projects in support of our Projects team. Since joining Wave, I have obtained a construction CSCS skill card, a Prince2 Project Management qualification and am currently studying an Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Level 3 course. A highlight of my time at Wave was in June 2019 where I was awarded Young Professional of the year at the Keighley & Airedale Business Awards!

Following our accreditation as Investors in People (Silver Status) in December 2019, I was promoted to Operations and Business Improvement Manager. One of my objectives this year is to take the business lead in obtaining ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations.

The team at Wave have a considerable focus in supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I am responsible for coordinating all of our own SDGs – those achieved and those that are planned!

Away from the business, I enjoy socialising with my family and friends, and I love spending time with my French Bulldog Rexy!

I have over 40 years’ experience from serving my apprenticeship, through to my current role with Wave as a Project Consultant. During my career I have been involved in design, contract management and consultancy associated with HFC & CO2 refrigerants, and secondary coolant fluids in both retail and industrial sectors for various end users. I have also gained significant experience in planning and delivering energy improvement projects, including Electrical, HVAC, BMS and High Voltage Switch and Transformer upgrades.

I am keen to share my knowledge and experience with anyone keen to learn and I am always available to assist colleagues when required, especially the younger members of the team; I have taken immense satisfaction in mentoring Ellie Clare as she continues to develop and thrive within our team.

To keep updated with current trends and changes within the industry, I am a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Institute of Refrigeration, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and the Association of Project Management.

Away from the business, I enjoy watching football, listening to music, traveling and also enjoy a good walk in the great outdoors.

I established Wave in 2015 and have almost 18 years’ experience in the refrigeration industry.

Through hard work and dedication, the team at Wave consistently delivers our mission for our clients – “Through positive disruption, we aim to better the norm, providing best in class advice, quality and value”.

I am extremely proud of our team, and our culture is what makes Wave industry leaders, and this was solidified in December 2019 when we achieved the prestigious Investors in People accreditation – Silver Status. As company founder and director, I am passionate about employee development, training, equality, and diversity – these are the foundations of the business.

My specific responsibilities at Wave extend to the daily management of the company, supporting our Engineering team and business development.

Away from the business, I love travelling and am happily married to Joanne, and proud dad to Tommy and Lucy.

I have almost 40 years’ experience in both electrical and refrigeration engineering. My experience has been gained through working my way up from grass roots across all disciplines to my current role as Projects & Commercial Director at Wave.

I am pleased to say that James, Nabil and I have recruited many talented colleagues, and I am proud to lead our team of Project Consultants. I pride myself in sharing my knowledge, experience and expertise with my co-workers and others within the industry.

I have kept myself up to date by being a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Institute of Refrigeration. I feel that this is important to keep abreast of new technology in order to deliver best in class results.

Away from the business, I am a keen sports fan enjoying watching both football and rugby. I spend most of my spare time taking my son to, and watching him play, these sports.

Director of Engineering

I started my career with Emerson Climate Technologies, where I provided turnkey design, analysis and troubleshooting to end users of retail refrigeration.

Starting with an engineering master’s degree from Imperial College London, I now have 10 years’ refrigeration experience, and became a chartered engineer with the IET in 2015.

I have also worked in engineering sales and industrial contracting, allowing me to develop a well-rounded view of the sector. Known for having a strong base-principles understanding of mechanical engineering and its applications in the real world, I am keen to convey my knowledge to future engineers and am proud to lead our Engineering team – where I focus on achieving our SMART engineering objectives on a daily basis!

Away from the business, my hobbies include music, art, and the natural world.

I am a time served electrical engineer with almost 40 years of experience in the refrigeration and electrical engineering sectors.

I have worked the last 27 years as a consultant to most of the major UK retailers, including Marks & Spencer, Aldi, Co-Op, Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons, MOD and USAF, managing numerous schemes of different scales. I hold an HNC in Refrigeration Building Services.

Away from the business, I enjoy travelling, the outdoors, and camping with the family.

I am a time served refrigeration engineer who has been in the industry for 40 years. I have a vast range of experience in all aspects of refrigeration from domestic scale to heavy industrial applications.

My roles have included: Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Supervisor, Service Manager, Operations Manager, MD, Sales Manager, and Project Manager.

I have been happily married to my wife Shanyn for 37 years and have two grown-up children who are both engineers (not in the refrigeration industry).  We also have a 4-year-old granddaughter Ellie-Rose. I am an avid follower of Newcastle United Football Club.

I joined Wave in November 2017 and am based in the central belt of Scotland.

I have almost 10-years of refrigeration experience, along with a Mechanical Engineering background developed from a young age. I thoroughly enjoy the fast-paced work and continuous changes within the refrigeration industry, which continually motivates me.

Away from the business, my hobbies include motorcycling and travelling. I am also a keen supporter and follower of Formula 1 and MOTO GP.

Technical Consultant

Prior to joining, I achieved a first in BSc (Hons) Geography at Sheffield Hallam University, covering areas such as sustainable energy, waste management, environmental management systems, environmental impact assessment, palaeoclimatology, and modern environmental change. I completed a first-class final year dissertation regarding environmentally sustainable technologies in the food retail industry, focusing on refrigeration technologies but also on the mindset of decision-makers in the industry. I am incredibly proud that my dissertation was published by the university.

I joined Wave in June 2018 and have been working on special engineering projects in both supporting and self-guided roles.

Away from the business, my hobbies include restoring classic sports cars and spending time in the great outdoors with my partner Sophie.

I’ve been working as a Refrigeration Design Engineer at WAVE Refrigeration since December 2017.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Kerala University. During my studies my experience covered project work in fabrication, and the testing & analysis of honeycomb structures in the Aerospace industry.

During the last 12-months I have gained significant experience in Revit software and gain immense satisfaction of providing high quality 3D modelling design drawings for our clients.

Away from the business, my hobbies include gaming, and playing and watching football and cricket.
