Cash for Kids – VW Festival

Sam represented WAVE, at the annual VW Festival, by volunteering to sell raffle tickets to raise money for Cash for Kids.

The raffle provided a chance for the donors to win a classic beetle, donated by Herbie Hospital, with all the money raised going to the cash for kids charity!

Volunteers managed to raise a whopping £19,999.49 for the charity over 2 days!

Our partnership with Cash for Kids began earlier this year, when WAVE took part in the “wear-share-care” and “5k a day in may” initiatives. It doesn’t stop here! Our next project with cash for kids is volunteering in the “mission Christmas” initiative, taking part in December. This initiative sources and provides Christmas presents to disadvantaged children who would otherwise go without a present on Christmas Day.
