Ellie Clare – Cool Careers
24th June 2021
We are delighted that former trainee and Operations Manager Ellie Clare participated in the Institute of Refrigeration Cool Careers online event – coinciding with World Refrigeration Day. Since joining WAVE in 2018, Ellie has proven herself to be a highly valuable member of our team, and someone who has seized every opportunity presented to her.
In 2019, Ellie won the Young Professional of the Year at the Keighley and Aire Valley Business Awards, and last year Ellie was the Silver Winner in the IOR/RAC Student of the Year at the Cooling Awards. Ellie has also successfully completed and achieved a C&G Level 2 Award in F-gas handling and ODS regulations!
On a day-to-day basis, Ellie is responsible for managing WAVE’s Operations function, including raising invoices, processing payments (salaries/expenses/business costs), reconciling and credit control. Ellie also supports the programming of works with our Projects and Technical teams. Furthermore, Ellie regularly takes a lead on our Sustainable Development Goal (SGD) “beyond-the-bottom line” on-going programme of initiatives and is currently working on our quest for ISO9001 accreditation!
Ellie’s skills do not just end in managing our Operations function, for over two-years, Ellie has supported our Project Managers, and conducts independent inspection visits at new ALDI stores and those undergoing refit. Ellie is able to identify defects for rectification, witness and validate refrigeration system pressure tests and ensure that programme of works remain on schedule.
Ellie has become well respected as a Young Woman working in STEM and the team at WAVE could not be any prouder of her!
